Porcelain, pearl and ghost-translucent — the gallery pour.
White pours split into two personalities: opaque porcelain, which makes a sculpt look like a museum piece, and translucent “ghost” white, which goes milky and semi-see-through in soft silicone. Both photograph beautifully, which is why makers use white for showing off new sculpt details.
White is everywhere in fades too — most tip-to-base gradients start from white or near-white, so the family count includes a lot of pours where white is the highlight rather than the whole story.
Porcelain whites stay bright and opaque; pearl finishes add shimmer. Ghost whites are translucent and love softer blends. White is the best canvas for UV-reactive and glow pigments, and the least forgiving about cleaning: it shows if you are lazy with it.
Detail obsessives — nothing shows off sculpt texture like white. Also the base of choice for people who dye or display, and for anyone building a pale, minimal shelf.
