Black is the sharpest-looking pour in the catalogue and the most practical: it shows nothing — no lube clouding, no dust, no wear marks. A solid black pour of a detailed sculpt reads like cast obsidian, all shape and shadow.
It is also the anchor of the fade world. “Anything into black” is a maker staple — red embers, purple dusk, green toxic — because the dark base grounds the bright tip and makes the colour glow by contrast.
Solid blacks carry a soft sheen; full gloss is rare. Black bases dominate two-tone pours. Shimmer in black reads as starfield. One quirk worth knowing: very dark pours can transfer a little pigment to pale fabrics when brand new — a first wash sorts it.
Minimalists, goths, and anyone who wants the sculpt to do the talking. It is also the discreet choice: at a glance on a shelf, a black pour is just a shape.
