Sunset fades, amber glows and the friendliest of the warm pours.
Orange is the great blender of fantasy pours. On its own it runs from soft apricot to traffic-cone tangerine, but its real home is the fade — sunset pours, ember gradients, koi patterns — where it bridges reds and yellows so naturally that makers use it constantly.
It is also quietly one of the best glow colours: orange glow pigment charges fast and comes back warm, so you get the glow without the classic alien-green, radioactive look.
Expect orange mostly in multi-tone pours — sunset and firelight fades especially. Solid oranges tend to be the brighter, candy end of the range. Shimmer and pearl finishes suit it well; the pigment stays vivid even in softer, more translucent silicone blends.
Fans of warm, autumnal palettes, and anyone building a shelf around fire, sunset or koi themes. It is the most cheerful family on the shelf, and the warm glow pours live here too.
