Ocean fades, midnight depths and the calmest shelf in the gallery.
Blue is the biggest family on the shelf after green, and the range is huge: pale morning-sky pastels, electric cobalts, petrol teals and near-black midnights. Ocean-themed sculpts — tentacles, merfolk, leviathans — are almost always poured blue first.
It is the colour makers use when they want depth. Layered blue pours, where a translucent surface tint sits over a darker core, give that looking-into-water effect that flat pigments cannot manage.
Expect wave fades (white or clear tip down to deep base), split pours pairing blue with purple or teal, and plenty of shimmer — mica reads beautifully in blue. Blue glow pigment is real but dimmer than green, charging to a moody moonlight.
Quiet-taste buyers. Blue pours are the ones reviewers most often call “calming”, and the deep navy end passes for sculpture on a shelf.
