Every size, to scale

Girth is circumference, measured where the maker measures it. Point positions on the drawing are approximate. Where the cut-out agrees with the published numbers, the profile you see is traced from it — the figures on it always come from the specs. SquarePeg publishes a total height and no insertable length, so this is drawn full height, base included — we'd rather show you their figure than invent ours. How we measure →

How firm, really

Firmness labels don't travel between makers — one maker's soft is another's medium. Here's what this maker means, where it lands on one scale, and who says so. The full table →

SquarePegnames only — no numbers published. Two named densities — SuperSoft and Firmer — and no Shore value published anywhere, as a matter of house policy. Firmness is also tied to colourway: you cannot order a SuperSoft black, because black is only poured Firmer.

  1. “Firmer”
    no Shore publishedmaker-published2 measured 5Areviewer-measured
    Mediumreviewer-measured3
"SquarePeg's Firmer silicone is not firm by other makers' standards, at about 5A." A SquarePeg 'Firmer' is nowhere near a Pleasure Forge or Strange Bedfellas 'Firm' (10A) — this is the most misleading single word in the dataset. Feels like: "still soft, but not uber-flexible like the other SuperSoft Slims"3label vs measurement → buying trap →
  2. “SuperSoft”
    no Shore publishedmaker-published2 measured 00-40reviewer-measured
    Softreviewer-measured3
"The SuperSoft density averages at 00-40 Shore" — the top of our Soft band, not ultra-soft, despite the name. Feels like: "so frickin' meaty"; ideal for large anal, sensitive users and menopausal users wanting gentler3

Two things the label won't tell you

Girth beats the label. The same firmness reads firmer in a bigger size — there's simply more silicone resisting you. Owners hit this constantly comparing a soft large against a medium small and finding the soft one firmer.

Soft mutes texture. The softer the pour, the less of the surface you feel. It's the trade-off behind the question owners ask each other most often when a configurator makes them choose — one we read repeatedly across our own thread corpus, never from a maker. Girthy and smooth points at soft, girthy and heavily textured points at softer still, and firm is what you pick when you want the texture to land.

And a caveat from the maker.SquarePeg coined the term "SuperSoft" in 2006 and says it has since become an industry word with no fixed meaning: "it doesn't mean anything specific in terms of durometer, and I've encountered some really firm SuperSofts in other toy lines… So check with each manufacturer." The copper colour identifying SquarePeg's SuperSoft is trademarked.1

No owner has filed a squish report on a SquarePeg label yet. At 3 we start printing what they found next to what the maker claims — one pour isn't a finding. File one →

Asked plainly

The questions people actually type, answered from the spec sheet and the maker's own pages.
How big is the One Size Dino?

The One Size Dino has 11.0″ around at its widest, as SquarePeg publish it.

Soft or medium — which firmness of the Dino should I get?

SquarePeg offer it in “Firmer” and “SuperSoft”. On our common scale that runs Firmer → medium and SuperSoft → soft, each with the source behind it on our firmness table. Size moves the answer as much as the label does: the same firmness feels firmer in a girthier size, because there's more silicone resisting you. Softer silicone also mutes texture, so if you're buying this for what the surface does, firmer keeps more of it.

What lube can I use with the Dino?

SquarePeg say silicone lube is fine. They name water-based, grease/oil-based, silicone-based, J-Lube-based and powdered-based lube as safe. In their words: SquarePeg is the maker that argues the case publicly. "I have seen no melting or dissolving effects of using silicone lubes on my toys in all these years… many of my customers use silicone lube exclusively and there have been no reported adverse affects since I introduced SuperSoft silicone to the adult toy market in 2006." It publishes a dedicated article, 'Origins of myth that silicone lube is bad for silicone toys', arguing the damage people blamed on silicone lube was actually vinyl plasticiser contact, and that cured silicone absorbing and re-releasing silicone fluid made the false association stick. It does flag a practical cost: silicone lube is hard to wash off and can trap odours and bacteria "like a protective blanket" — Blue Dawn® or acetone will remove it. Makers genuinely disagree on this one, so a rule you've read on another maker's page may not hold here.

How do I clean the Dino?

Straight from SquarePeg: Soap and water first — the soap you need depends on the lube you used. Then boil, dishwash, bake or bleach-soak; the silicone tolerates up to 400°F. Wash with plain soap and water to remove lube and residue, then dry with a soft cloth. J-Lube rinses with mild detergent; grease lubes need a grease-cutting soap; silicone lube is "the most persistent" and needs something as strong as Dawn®. Soaking is fine (silicone is hydrophobic) — but never soak silicone alongside vinyl toys. Dishwasher-safe on either rack, but the abrasive action can dull and pit the surface over time.

Will the Dino fit a harness?

SquarePeg offer SquarePegHole™ on some models: A universal socket in the base that grips peg-type mounts with the industry-standard 3/4″ base shaft. Introduced November 2017. SquarePeg offer FlushCup™ on some models: A low-profile suction base cast into the toy itself, so the toy sits flush to the surface instead of wobbling on a stem. Introduced October 2017. Check the O-ring you already own before you buy.

How long will I wait for a Dino?

Standing catalogue, not drops. Custom base requests are taken by email on models that don't list the option. Their own stated windows — order processing: orders received Mon–Fri by 8 AM Pacific / 11 AM Eastern process to ship the same day; 99.7% of orders ship the same or next business day. Those windows are the maker's own published figures.

Are the Dino's measurements verified?

Not yet. Every number here is a figure published by SquarePeg. When three or more owners measure the same point and agree within 2mm, we mark it verified and show the count — nothing on this sculpt has reached that bar.
