Every size, to scale

Girth is circumference, measured where the maker measures it. Point positions on the drawing are approximate. Where the cut-out agrees with the published numbers, the profile you see is traced from it — the figures on it always come from the specs. How we measure →

Which size, though?

Owners put the comfortable increment at half an inch of circumference per step up, an inch at the very most. Anything wider is where the “I sized up and regretted it” posts come from — girth is the constraint, not length.

The Small is 6.6″ around over 4.5″ usable — a girth-to-length ratio of 1.47. Owners who are short on depth filter for a ratio of 1.3 or higher — girth without the length to go with it. This one clears that bar.

How firm, really

Firmness labels don't travel between makers — one maker's soft is another's medium. Here's what this maker means, where it lands on one scale, and who says so. The full table →

Pleasure Forgepublishes Shore 00 and Shore A values. The reference implementation of the indie ladder: 00-20 / 00-30 (00-31 Near Clear) / 00-50 / 10A, published on their onboarding page, with an unusually candid caveat about batch variance.

Two things the label won't tell you

Girth beats the label. The same firmness reads firmer in a bigger size — there's simply more silicone resisting you. Owners hit this constantly comparing a soft large against a medium small and finding the soft one firmer.

Soft mutes texture. The softer the pour, the less of the surface you feel. It's the trade-off behind the question owners ask each other most often when a configurator makes them choose — one we read repeatedly across our own thread corpus, never from a maker. Girthy and smooth points at soft, girthy and heavily textured points at softer still, and firm is what you pick when you want the texture to land. This sculpt is a textured one, so the choice is doing real work here.

No owner has filed a squish report on a Pleasure Forge label yet. At 3 we start printing what they found next to what the maker claims — one pour isn't a finding. File one →

Asked plainly

The questions people actually type, answered from the spec sheet and the maker's own pages.
How big is the Small Kobold?

The Small Kobold has 4.5″ of usable length and 6.6″ around at its widest, as Pleasure Forge publish it. It measures 5.5″ tip to base, but the base doesn't go in — usable length is the number that matters.

How big is the Medium Kobold?

The Medium Kobold has 5.4″ of usable length and 7.9″ around at its widest, as Pleasure Forge publish it. It measures 6.3″ tip to base, but the base doesn't go in — usable length is the number that matters.

How big is the Large Kobold?

The Large Kobold has 6.4″ of usable length and 9.5″ around at its widest, as Pleasure Forge publish it. It measures 8.0″ tip to base, but the base doesn't go in — usable length is the number that matters.

Soft or medium — which firmness of the Kobold should I get?

Pleasure Forge offer it in “Medium 00-50” and “Soft 00-30”. On our common scale that runs Medium 00-50 → medium and Soft 00-30 → soft, each with the source behind it on our firmness table. Size moves the answer as much as the label does: the same firmness feels firmer in a girthier size, because there's more silicone resisting you. Softer silicone also mutes texture: owners reach for soft on a girthy toy and super-soft on a girthy, heavily textured one, and firm when they want the texture to land.

What lube can I use with the Kobold?

Pleasure Forge advise against silicone lube. They name water-based and oil-based lube as safe. In their words: "Using silicone based lubricants with silicone based toys is not usually recommended." On the Near Clear page it is more specific and more mechanical: the material "is compatible with your favorite water and oil based lubricants, but beware that using a silicone lube may make any silicone toy swell a little bit, or a lot". Note this is a swelling claim, not a dissolving claim — different from the makers who say silicone lube destroys silicone. Makers genuinely disagree on this one, so a rule you've read on another maker's page may not hold here.

How do I clean the Kobold?

Straight from Pleasure Forge: Care instructions are printed on the back of every packing slip. New toys arrive tacky and need a thorough wash before use; everyday cleaning is warm soapy water, deep cleaning is rubbing alcohol with a mild detergent. Inspect the toy while it is still inside the bag; report undocumented flaws before opening. New toys often feel tacky — they get only a perfunctory wash before shipping and need a thorough clean to remove residual mould release. Warm soapy water, boiling, or a 1% bleach soak all work. Everyday: water with a mild detergent. Deeper clean for smells or soiling: rubbing alcohol with a mild detergent — "silicones tend to be nonpolar which limits the ability of water to clean them".

Will the Kobold fit a harness?

Pleasure Forge offer KÜPPŞ on some models: Double-sided suction cups sold separately, in two shapes: Flex Cups (more grip, for walls/vertical surfaces) and Pedestal Cups (more rigid, for floors/horizontal surfaces). A set is one of each. Pleasure Forge offer Per-model features (suction compatible / Vac-U-Lock / squirting tube) on some models: Pleasure Forge does not add features on request. If a model supports suction, Vac-U-Lock or a squirting tube, it is stated in that listing's text. As published on 2026-07-26 the suction-compatible models were: XS/S/M/L Fighter, S/M/L Kraken Rogue, S/M/L Kraken Wizard, XS/S/M/L Rogue, XS/S/M/L Wizard. Check the O-ring you already own before you buy.

How long will I wait for a Kobold?

Stock drops — "weekly/biweekly/monthly… generally on Thursdays around 8PM EST", announced on the site, on @pleasureforge socials and by mailing list. Customs were closed as of 2026-07-26 ("WE ARE NOT TAKING CUSTOM ORDERS AT THIS TIME"). Nothing outside the current model list is made. Their own stated windows — order processing: about 2–10 business days; orders processed Mon–Fri 7AM–3PM; no expedited shipping offered. Those windows are the maker's own published figures.

Are the Kobold's measurements verified?

Not yet. Every number here is a figure published by Pleasure Forge. When three or more owners measure the same point and agree within 2mm, we mark it verified and show the count — nothing on this sculpt has reached that bar.
